The Lunch Club provides a social outlet for older people and offers an opportunity to meet, mingle and chat with other over 50^s from the area in a warm and friendly atmosphere 5 days per week. The lunch Club has flourished and meets Monday to Friday and is run entirely by voluntary helpers with support from the Kitchen Assistant.  The freshly prepared two-course lunch, followed by tea or coffee costs just £1.75 and anyone over 50 years of age, retired or early retired, is very welcome to join: there is no membership fee

Volunteers at the Lunch Club not only give of their services but also provide company, a listening ear and the human contact that is one of the essential ingredients that our club provides for many elderly members who live alone and may not go out from week to week
