Eating is one of life's pleasures and is an important social event for most people. The lunch clubs held at Boomerang gives older people (50+) the opportunity to leave the house, and to meet old friends and make new ones in a warm and friendly setting.

 

 

The lunch club gives the chance to socialise whilst enjoying a hot, healthy balanced and nutritious meal The lunch club operates 5 days per week, and is run mostly by volunteers, where upwards of 30 meals are provided on a daily basis. Activities such as bingo, games and films are available after the meal.

Meals cost £2.50 and consist of

  • Home made soup 
  • Main course
  • Tea/Coffee and biscuits
