e-Citizen is a computer skills programme for people who want to use the internet as a source of information, as well as to shop, bank, book, holidays, pay bills, access government services and email.

What is e-Citizen?
In today's society where computers and the internet are permeating all aspects of everyday life, some people are excluded from the Information Society because they lack the necessary skills to partake in it. Organisations delivering online services are experiencing a low uptake as a result of a skills gap among the general public.E-Citizen addresses the diverse needs of the individual, government and commercial organisations by providing a certificated programme that bridges this skills gap.
e-Citizen is intended to help candidates to gain the skills and confidence they need to participate on-line across a broad range of environments, from government departments to searching for information and buying products and services.
