The very successful Book of Memories published through Boomerang has put "Stobbie" on the map worldwide. The book includes recollections from Stobbie folk, along with modern and historical snaps of the area and was produced through a grant from Awards for All. Requests for copies for the book reached Boomerang from all corners of the globe including England, South Africa, America Australia and Canada. Ex pats have also been expanding on the stories in the book with telephone calls and letters arriving at the project on a regular basis.

The books editor, Sharon McPherson said "I remember thinking how ambitious the project was, as asking members of the public for their memories is a very personal thing" "But I needn't have worried as everyone I interviewed was enthusiastic and I sensed a deep fondness towards Stobswell, for life in the old days."
